Hello, my friends!
I know, I know. It’s been a very long time since I last posted but I’m back now! I thought I’d share my experience with the Legends of Horror at the Casa Loma in Toronto that I went to last week with some of my close friends. For those who don’t know what that is, every year Casa Loma is turned into a haunted house that offers participants an immersive, theatrical experience called Legends of Horror. I have always been a fan of haunted houses and what better place to experience some spookiness than at the castle?!

My friends and I absolutely loved the decorations and the actors! It was very well-done and I especially loved the outdoor part of the walk. The 2km walk is self-paced and on several occasions, we tried to hang back to try and get spooked but there were too many people coming up behind us that we had to continue along the path. There were a couple of times where we saw what happened ahead of us that it lost it’s spookiness, for me anyways. My friends were screaming the entire time we were there, haha!

One thing to note is that the event doesn’t take place inside the castle – the path is along the grounds of the castle and through the underground tunnels towards the stables! It was still really fun, however. If you’re interested in a little Halloween fun this year, I would suggest giving it a try! It’s a bit on the pricey side but we grabbed our tickets on Groupon for $30 each. I believe the original ticket price is $40 and $45 at the door. I’m NOT in any way affiliated with Groupon! I love sharing the joy of money-saving!
If you do go, I’d recommend arriving early because we booked our tickets for 7:00pm and arrived around 7:10pm and waited about 35mins in line. The one thing that disappointed me in this experience was how disorganized entry to the event was. There’s no separate line for ticket holders and we had to wait in the SAME line as people waiting to purchase their tickets! Hopefully, they change the logistics of it next year!
All in all, a really cool and fun experience but a bit on the pricey side. I would definitely consider going again next year if my friends are up for it! Have you been to Casa Loma Legends of Horror this year? What about other Halloween-themed events in Toronto? I’d love to hear about your experiences!! What event should I try next? Let me know in the comments below!
Until next time, my friends!
