Exploring Calgary: Part 2

And we are back for Part 2 of my recent Calgary trip!

After exploring the Glenbow Museum, I decided to look up local attractions that would be fun to do and was still open in the evening! There were so many art galleries and museums I wanted to explore but just not enough time – next time, perhaps?? After some research (thanks, Google), I found the TELUS Spark Science Centre and they had the Adults Only Night. It’s not as scandalous as it sounds, I promise!

If you’ve ever heard of Friday Night Live at the ROM, it’s similar to that!  We get to roam around the science centre without any kids around, there are dance jams, open bar, and more challenging science adventures! The theme during our visit was called Circus! After Dark. There was an opportunity to walk the high wire, watch aerial performances, elastic acrobatics and many, many more fun and interesting things to do!

As you can see, there were a lot of fun things to explore and learn about science! If you’ve never been, I would recommend checking it out. I found the admissions price a bit steep for the amount of things available to do. The planetarium wasn’t open during the event – not sure if it was just a one-off thing or if it’s closed during Adults Only Night? Although it was pricey, it was still a very fun experience and I think it’s something to try even if it’s just once!

In our final attraction at the end of out trip, we went to the iconic Calgary Tower! Post to come soon.

Until next time!
