Hello! I can’t believe it’s May already!
Hope you’re staying safe and staying well.
My family are considered essential workers and had a tough time finding masks to purchase so I figured I could sew some face masks for them. After making one for each of them, there was a call for volunteers in Toronto to sew face masks and I figured, why not?! I love volunteering and this gives me the opportunity to do my part in supporting the front-line workers!
Here’s an infographic from sewing.com I found very helpful! Instead of tying the elastics, I sewed them into the mask at both ends on each side. I also added pipe cleaners, usually used for arts and crafts, on the top-side of the masks to help the mask sit better around the nose!

Hope you found this useful!
Stay safe and well!
